A Village where Men Are NOT Allowed
It is generally said that man and woman are necessity of each other and
that is the only possibility to lead life further. But, on our planet,
there is a place where men are not allowed. Women of Umoja in Kenya have
established a small village where they do not allow any man to enter.
No men has entered in this village since the establishment of this
village in 1990. This village was founded by 15 women who were
victimized by British army and later several other under privileged and
domestically abused women started living in this village.
Currently this village has a population of 250 people and none of them is an adult man. A School is also operational that is run by local women. Most of these women are engaged in jewellery business and say they are happy in their town and wouldn't allow other men to enter in this village. They say only men that would be allowed to live in this town are their own kids with whom they were compelled to leave their original towns because of domestic violence.
